Na sprehodu sem sedla sredi travnika in začela iz ivanščic plesti venec. Potem sem naredila par fotografij, kot predlogo za kakšno od slik deklet z rožami v laseh. Ko pa sem začela slikati na platno je nastal prav konkreten avtoportret.

While I was on a walk in the nature around my home town I sat down in a grass field and after a while decided to make a wreath of flowers. There are still many different kinds of wild flowers in Slovenia. I decided to make a reference photo for one of my paintings of girls with flowers in their hair. But when I started working on the canvas it turned into an actual self-portrait.

Razstava cvetličnih deklet, pa tudi starejših portretov je do 7. junija na ogled v galeriji Brigita na Lancovem pri Radovljici. Razstavljam skupaj z akademsko slikarko Brigito Požegar Mulej.

The exhibition of my Flower girls and some other portraits is still open until the 7th of July. I am exhibiting with a fellow painter Brigita Požegar Mulej.
