Živi in ustvarja v Radovljici.

In my paintings and collages I focus on the female. Be it the whole body or the portrait I have always been drawn to the female figure. The question: “What am I?” has always been my driving force. The female figure or the portrait is for me in a way a starting point for painting and not perhaps the main motive.
I am deeply interested in the interaction of body and mind. In a lot of my pieces I question where the personality can be seen. Sometimes I make cutouts, holes where the face would be, fill them with abstract patterns and create a visual contrast to the naturalistically painted hair and clothing.
Every single woman is different; the way my figures pose reflects a part of who they are but at the same time it hides them, masking them. In a way the woman in my pieces is hiding who she really is by conforming to an ideal of beauty. The result is at times unsettling.
